contemporary art practice

I am an artist, writer and performer. My practice creates ephemeral works that do not last in themselves but can be recorded through various means. The natural world and things we can’t quite grasp such as movement, shadow, thought or feeling are my main media. 

 
The works explore movement within a setting and how to make that movement apparent. I walk paths, make casts, film, draw, document, write, make small-repeated actions, lines, circles and stories to mark, build, erode, gather or disperse.

 My career spans 25 years, primarily as a visual artist but increasingly in poetry and performance. I work with community, outdoor and public arts organisations alongside my personal art practice.
